A lunch with friends, the bright summer, the scent of the sea in the air.
At dessert time, in the center of the table, a single melon.
My mother had given me the task of cutting slices for everyone.
In the simple gesture of the knife sinking into the peel, I am captured by the perfection of its surface: a natural, geometric, almost drawn texture, and by a surprisingly white pulp.
In that moment something changes as if I were seeing that fruit for the first time.
Thus an idea was born: to transform that spontaneous beauty into a visual sign, into a language that unites nature and design.
